My name is Lawrence Adoku and also known as LAW KAY as my artistic name. I’m a studen of the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ) and hopeful level 300 student after school resumes. I’m into PR Consultancy, event planning and entertainment productions and of which writing is part of me since.
My book “AKWAABA” is a novel which has a combination of a story and poems in advocating on welcoming Made-in-Ghana and patronizing them. The book comes with a Foreword from an award winning journalist and a station’s manager of Onua TV and Onua Fm, which are Sister stations to TV3, all under Media General. The book was published by “Brand Dey” a campus based publication house, in the beginning of the ended academic year.
Again, in contributing my quota in calming the fear and panic caused by the Covid-19 pandemic, I used the advancement and modernization of technology to introduce my new book “The Promised Love”. This is a love story which is being published on social media (WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram) in episodes so as to encourage and promote reading. The story is to entertain, inform and educate the youth on facing the consequences of a wrong act though you can be forgiven, also talking about true love, the power of promising and any other that readers may discover.
Attached are link of the teaser of the online and images which includes myself, the books and some feedbacks from my readers. I’m highly privileged to be nominated under the category of STUDENT AUTHOR OF THE YEAR in this years awards under this noble awards scheme. I would use this opportunity to thank the awards jury board and wish myself and the rest of the nominees, all the best of luck.
