"Never be like the mosquito that bite the owner of the house"
Before I get to the meaning of the proverb, here are some interesting facts you might not know about mosquitoes. Did you know that only female mosquitoes bite and it is because they need human blood to develop fertile eggs? Did you know that mosquitoes are more attracted towards people with blood type O, and those who sweat a lot as well as towards pregnant women? Did you also know that mosquitoes are the world’s deadliest animals? And did you know that the name the name “mosquito" comes from Spanish words meaning "little fly"? Anyway, this proverb exposes the heart of an ingrate. Only an ungrateful person will pay good with evil. The most disgusting thing about ungrateful people is that while you saw them as people who needed to be helped, they see you as things to use or exploit. The moment you do not help them with one thing, everything you’ve done for them doesn’t count. Whether it’s because you didn’t have or it was because of time constraints or personal issues, they don’t care. You suddenly become a wicked person in their eyes. But like mosquitoes, they have a short life span. Be grateful!
