Felicity Sena Dogbatse is a fresh graduate of the University of Cape Coast. She read a Bachelors Degree in Communication Studies and completed with First Class honors.
While a student, she served as the First Deputy Speaker to the SRC Students’ Parliamentary Council in the 2019/2020 academic year.
She additionally served as an advisor to the Local Nugs- UCC Chapter Women’s commissioner. Before her election as a First Deputy Speaker, she served as Clerk to the SRC Students’ Parliamentary Council and Women's
Commissioner to the Faculty of Arts Students’ Association.
Felicity is a very bold, determined and so passionate about women’s welfare. Her love for the ladies in her faculty enabled her to establish the Ladies’
wing within the association.
As a member of the UCC SRC Students’ Parliamentary council, she represented the council in debates. Notable among them are: the Anti-Corruption Day Celebration Debate (2017), Inter-Parliamentary Commonwealth Debate
In May 2019, she was named and awarded as Female Political personality of the Year and Lady of the Year during the Faculty of Arts Students awards.
Due to her astuteness, Felicity was one of the two ladies appointed to work as a member of the UCC SRC
Constitutional review board. Her work in the board was highly commended and applauded by the SRC
President and Chairman of the Board.
Notable amongst her achievements as Faculty of Arts Women's Commissioner are:
-Establishing and organizing the first ladies movement named FASA Ladies”, which is the first in the history of the
- Organizing academic and empowerment seminar for the level 100 students.
Felicity has served as a peer facilitator for the Centre for Gender, Research, Advocacy and
Documentation of the University of Cape Coast (2019/2. She was also appointed as the first Deputy Chief Justice of SRC Hall(2019/2
As a former student of Mampong-Akwapim Presbyterian Senior High School, she was elected as the Head Girls’ compound Prefect who worked in her position with hard work and diligence. She was award as one of the Outstanding Prefects of the Year(2015/16).
She was a member of the Writers and Debaters’ club and was always part of the debating team to winning many Debate Competition. She was also one of the winners English, Mathematics, Science and Social students quiz in her school.
For 2020/2021, Felicity has been appointed as Inter-religion Commonwealth Action Group Coordinator, where she currently heads the group for ”Extending sexual health and family planning facilities and awareness with sensitivity to religious groups across the commonwealth countries”; With Mr. Ali Raza Khan from Pakistan as her Co-coordinator.
Felicity’s desire for women’s welfare has compiled her to do her service with Centre for Gender, Research, Advocacy and Documentation- UCC, who partners with the Gender Department in the Central region.
She has also committed herself to helping women by joining and serving as a secretary to ”Peculiar Women of Substance - Central Chapter.
